Hi, I am Jason Yan from China.
Yesterday was my first day at the John Carroll school. I was nervous and
excited before I came to school. I was afraid of the barrier of communication
because I am not so good at English. But I found everyone in John
Carroll was nice. Everyone I talked to was patient and friendly. They knew I am
an International student and willing to help me with my problems.
The other thing I like very much is lunch. In China, we don’t always
have many choices about our lunch and the food school prepares for us usually
tastes bad. I like the food here. I have a lot of choices and most of them
taste good. I just arrived here a month ago and I like America.
To my surprise, I found about 15 students who comes from China including
me. This makes me feel happy. Also I met 8 other international students from
all over the world in the international orientation !
Welcome to John Carroll, and welcome to America! Jason, I am glad that you are having good experiences at your new school. I am happy to have you in my class, and I will be ready to help you become the best English-speaker and English-writer you can be!
